Stock Picking Challenge

Annual & Quarterly Picks

• The main competition is to select a group of stocks that you think will be the best performing stocks for the year. This is done at the start of the year, and then followed throughout the year. In this case the cut-off date is Jan 30th 2021.
• Apart from the main prize (to determine the best picks for the year), we will also be determining which picks are the best performing for each quarter
• All entries for the annual prize, will automatically be entered to see if they are the best performing picks for each quarter
• To keep it simple, once you have selected your stocks, that's it. We will track them to see if they are the best performing for each quarter and the year

New Entries - Mid year

• New users who were not able to enter the annual competition in time can enter their picks for the upcoming quarter
• For each upcoming quarter we will accept new entries, for the quarterly prize (best performing for the quarter), but not for the annual prize. This allows new users to enter thorughout the year.
• Existing users with entries for the annual prize (those that entered in January) can also enter different picks for an upcoming quarter (to be fair, since we are accepting new entries), but only (1) the latest entry will be used, and that will only be used for the quarter chosen. The picks for the year will remain the same.

Entries & Stock Performance

• Only one entry is permitted per individual.
• To enter, you must select no more than 7 different stocks. Even though the system may allow you to enter more than that, only up to the first 7 stocks chosen will be considered.
• All listed companies are allowed.
• Each portfolio will be equally weighted across the shares chosen, and the performance tracked over the year.
• There will be no trading throughout the year
• The start price will be the close price on the final day of trading for the relevant stock in 2020. (e.g. 31st December 2020)
• The end price will be the close price on the final day of trading for the relevant stock in 2021. (e.g. 31st December 2021)
• Same principle (re dates) applies in determining the best performing picks for each quarter
• Performance will be tracked on a share price return only basis and exclude dividends - i.e. using the start price & end price.
• For now the performance does not include dividends. However we reserve the right to adjust these rules to include dividends at a later date.
• Corporate Actions - we will adjust all share prices for splits & consolidations.
• Suspensions/Delisted - any shares that are suspended or delisted will be valued at the last price before suspension. If a company goes into bankruptcy/liquidation then the position will be valued at zero.

• We have cash and prizes totaling over J$40,000 up for grabs.

  1st place - J$20,000
  2nd place - J$5,000
  3rd place - J$3,000
  Best quarterly picks
  Your choice from a list of top investing books
  (valued less than US$20 on Amazon)
• Contact details submitted will be used to communicate occasional updates about the community picks and for delivering any related offers about the MoneyMax101 service.
• All prizes will be adjudicated at the relevant time with winners contacted directly via email. Public notice will be given via email, the website and social media.
• We reserve the right to amend the rules at any time.
• We reserve the right to disqualify any individual gaming the rules.
• We reserve the right to substitute, withdraw or offer a cash equivalent prize.
• The decision of MoneyMax101 is final and no correspondence will be entered in to.
