• On July 13, 2012 Pan-Jamaican Investment Trust Limited (PJAM) acquired 299,519,661 ordinary shares, approximately 8% of Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited (SLJ) at a price of $10.20 per share. The acquisition has resulted in PJAM’s shareholdings in SLJ increasing from 24.81% to 32.78%. PJAM indicated that the purpose of the acquisition is in keeping with PJAM’s philosophy of capital management: providing superior returns for its stockholders while maintaining a conservative capital structure. PJAM indicated that it is not its intention to acquire a controlling interest in SLJ.
