  • Jamaican Teas Limited has advised that the Company signed an agreement today, May 30, 2013, to purchase property located at 2 Bell Road in Kingston. The property previously housed the operations of Beal Industries which manufactured Comet matches, but has been closed for some time. The property will be used to house the manufacturing operations of  Jamaican Teas Ltd as the current facility is inadequate. The property is approximately 1.5 acres and the building is 17,000 square feet. The Company expects to move in later this year after the necessary renovations are complete. The property cost US$915,000.
  • Kingston Properties Limited has advised that at the Company`s annual general meeting held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, its shareholders approved the following resolution:
    • “THAT pursuant to Section 10 and other applicable provisions, if any, of the Companies Act, the Articles of Incorporation of Kingston Properties Limited be and are amended as follows:
      By inserting a new Article 165 which shall state: “Subject to Section 58 of the Act the company may purchase or otherwise acquire shares issued by it.” And this new Article shall be under a new Heading entitled “Buy Back of Company’s Shares”.
